Snack recipe: savory macadamia spread

This is so sillily (Is that a word? What is the adverb of silly?) easy and yummy!

No roasting required!

savory macadamia spread

2 cups macadamia nuts

water, for soaking

salt and pepper

2 TBS nutritional yeast

2 TBS vinegar

1/2 TBS vegan worcestershire sauce

Simply soak the macadamia nuts in water for an hour, then blend/process with the remaining ingredients.

Serve with crackers and crudite. Enjoy! : )

  1. I’m sort of a taste-and-adjust-as-I-go kind of cook, but the rough recipe is basically:

    Simmer a couple cups of cashews in vegetable broth for half an hour or so until they are soft and rubbery. (You can also soak them overnight in broth or water.) Blend with a small amount of the broth, and add more in small amounts until it’s about the consistency of hummus. Give it a good squeeze of lemon juice. Add some salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, dried herbs (I used mostly thyme) to taste, and voila.
