A friend of mine just went to Meat Week and promptly blew up my Instagram feed with BBQ photos.
The stuff on the buns didn’t interest me, but I do love trying different barbecue sauces!
I made a salad today with my current favorite sauce: Wild Thymes Whistlin’ Dixie. Yum yum yum! Spicy, mustardy, yummy!
Raw BBQ salad
Handful of spinach leaves
Half a can of drained and rinsed chickpeas
1/4 block of cubed tofu, seasoned with lemon, salt and pepper
1/2 matchstick cut zucchini
Combine all ingredients and too with your favorite barbecue sauce. I bet this would good with warmed sauce, too.
The combination is non-traditional, but delicious in combination, with crunch, spice and layered brightness.
